About the centre

LSST was established in 2002 as a private Higher Education provider. We are predominately known for our widening participation values for first generation degree students.

Since 2018 we have worked with four UK universities to offer undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Our vision is to offer high quality, close to home and accessible HE programmes within a diverse and inclusive culture.

Our workforce closely mirrors the diversity of our students. We run evening and weekend provision to meet the needs of our mature student body many of whom work or have caring responsibilities. This is driving our model of adopting HTQs as a flexible ‘hop on- hop off’ routes to degree to fit in around their lives.

Qualifications offered

Level 4 Diploma in Business (L4DB)

The New Level 4 Diploma in Business is a regulated qualification and the first stage of the NCC Education Business Degree journey.

Equivalent to the first year of a UK business degree, this programme provides a strong academic and practical foundation in core business principles, preparing students for further study or entry into the global business industry.

Level 4 Diploma in Computing (L4DC)

The NCC Education Level 4 Diploma in Computing (L4DC) is an Ofqual regulated qualification. The qualification makes up the first year of a Computing/ IT degree pathway. The qualification is equivalent to the first year of an IT degree in the UK university system.

Level 5 Diploma in Business (L5DB)

The New Level 5 Diploma in Business is a regulated qualification and the second stage of the NCC Education Business Degree journey.

Equivalent to the second year of a UK business degree, this programme builds on Level 4 and explores advanced topics such as entrepreneurship, innovation and growth, raising finance, agile leadership, business ethics, and global policy impacts. It provides a strong academic and practical framework, preparing students for progression to the final year of a UK honours degree or a successful career in global business.
