Mathematics skills for computing
The NCC Education Level 2 Diploma in Computing is a dynamic and accessible qualification designed for learners aged 14 and above who wish to develop their knowledge and understanding of computing through structured learning.
This qualification provides a strong foundation in key computing concepts and practical skills, preparing learners for progression to higher education courses or entry-level roles in the digital and technology sectors. It also supports those learning English as a second or foreign language, enabling them to study and be assessed in English with confidence.
To gain the Diploma, learners MUST achieve the following 4 units equal to the total of 48 credits.

It is expected that candidates who are non-native English speakers are able to cope with the demands of preparing for and taking the NCC Education Level 2 Computing suite qualification assessment in English.
Learners who successfully complete the NCC Education Level 2 Diploma in Computing can progress to the NCC Education Level 3 Diploma in Computing, further enhancing their knowledge and skills to prepare for higher education or professional roles in the business sector.
Assessments for all units will be offered in a number of assessment cycles throughout the year. The units are all assessed by either examination or assignments.

]]>In addition, successful candidates will fulfil the main entry requirements for NCC Education’s Level 4 Diploma in Business (L4DB) as well as opening up opportunities to access a range of higher education courses or employment.
Examples of higher education opportunities include, but are not limited to, progressing to university degrees in Business Management, Marketing, International Business, Accounting and Finance and examples of employment opportunities include roles such as Accounts Clerk, Recruitment Consultant and Accounting Technician.
To gain the Diploma, learners MUST achieve all 7 units that total 122 credits
Students should have completed their GCSE/IGCSE ‘O’ Levels or an equivalent* qualification in their own country and passed 4 subjects with minimum grades of ‘C’, ‘4’ or equivalent* in each.
These should include Mathematics and English. The NCC Education Level 3 Business suite syllabus and assessment is suitable for candidates aged 16 and above (at Key Stage 4 of the English national curriculum) as well as older (including adult) learners.
Have a valid score of 5.5 or above in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination or equivalent for students whose first language is not English.
Alternatively, students can take the free NCC Education Higher English Placement Test which is administered by our Accredited Partner Centres.
Students who successfully complete the NCC Education Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business can progress to the NCC Education Level 4 Diploma in Business, equivalent to Year 1 of a UK bachelor’s degree, further enhancing their knowledge and skills to prepare for higher education or professional roles in the business sector.

As the first stage of the NCC Education degree journey, this programme introduces students to the core principles of international business and equips them with practical skills for success.
Blending academic theory with real-world application, the qualification provides a strong foundation for further study or a career in business.
On completion, students can progress to the NCC Education Level 5 Diploma in Business (equivalent to the second year of a UK honours degree), enter the second year of many university programmes, or begin a rewarding career in the global business industry.
NCC Education is regulated to award the Level 4 Diploma in Business (L4DB) by Ofqual and Qualifications Wales ( QiW)
For entry onto the NCC Education L4DB qualification students must have at least one of the following:

If a potential student’s first language is not English, they must also reach the English Language requirements of either:
OR
Mature applicants will be considered for entry if they are able to demonstrate over 2 years of relevant work experience; AND Have GCE ‘O’ Level / IGCSE English and Maths or equivalent.

Students must study the following FIVE core units equal to 60 credits and then THREE Elective units to equal 60 credits, so a total of 120 credits are completed by students.

The qualification will allow them to understand and enter the computing profession with the necessary knowledge expected within the industry and the ability to apply the skills to a range of IT-related functions.
On successful completion of the qualification students will be able to embark on NCC Education’s Level 5 Diploma in Computing (L5DC), which is equivalent to the second year of a UK Bachelor’s degree, transfer to a university or pursue a career in the IT industry.
Approved by Skills England as a Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ).
Students must complete the 5 core units and the 3 specialist units
